Port-Cros and Porquerolles islands

Both islands are part of the trio known to the Greeks as the "Stoechads islands". This designation comes from the ancient Greek "στοιχάδες νῆσοι" (stoichas nēsōi) which can be interpreted as "the aligned islands".

Port-Cros is the original heart of the National Parc. With a surface of 700 hectares, the island is a shelter for a diversity of birds, reptiles, fish and invertebrates. It also counts many endemic plant species that belong to the region natural heritage.

Porquerolles, although it is aslo part of the National parc, is not retsricted to regulation as much as Port-Cros. Indeed, the island has many tourist infrastuctures such as restaurants, hotels or bike location stores.
